What's the difference between Salmon and Trout??

I am embarrassed to say that I thought salmon and trout were two totally different fish.
But biologically, they are all salmon.
Lake trout, Brook trout, and Rainbow trout are all members of the family Salmonidae.

So, why do we distinguish between Trout and Salmon?

Of course, you all know this, don't you?

In the past, salmon were considered to be those that could live in saltwater, while trout were those that could only live in freshwater.

Nowadays, however, it is difficult to distinguish between the two because they differ depending on the individual fish.

I love both salmon and trout because they are very tasty^^
