The B55-PPJ is designed with a taper optimized for high-pitch action using the most frequently used 300–500g jigs in expedition amberjack jigging. Its unique thick-walled blank combines high rebound with strong torque, absorbing the powerful runs of large amberjack and assisting the reel under heavy drag pressure through the rod’s recoil and butt power. It also performs in mid-deep sea slow jigging targeting species such as longtooth grouper and kue, smoothly handling heavy jigs up to 800g. Not only improved in jig control and durability, the overall balance has been upgraded, resulting in a rod with a wide usable range that can tackle expedition jigging through various approaches.
