Seawalk Vertical Contact 70S
Released in 2026, Seawalk Vertical Contact is Yamaga Blanks’ dedicated series for vertical contact ajing (boat ajing with a sinker rig). The design targets three things: sensitivity, controllability and the ability to follow the fish, with the Blue Current light game series as the starting point.
The tip is carbon solid. Vertical contact fishing tends to rely on watching the tip, so Yamaga added the tactile sensitivity they developed on Blue Current to deliver a clear, direct bite straight to the hand.
The grip length works both braced against the forearm and tucked under the arm, which cuts fatigue on deep water and long sessions. Once hooked, a deep bend absorbs the sharp runs of an aji and the bending point is controlled precisely to minimise torn hooks.
The 70 models cover water down to 100m and carry the butt power to work heavy sinkers.
Guides are Fuji SiC-S stainless K and SiC stainless LDB. Target species are horse mackerel and grunt.
