Ocea Jigger CT 2501MG
An MG model built around fall strategy. The 5.7 gear ratio keeps it from taking up too much slack - effective for nearshore blue-water jigging, albacore and yellowfin jigging, and mid-deep sea work where the fall action does the fishing.
Shimano's large jigging-specific reel finally gains a counter model. The biggest gain is reading depth intuitively as a number; paired with sounder data it even lets you read how the current is pushing the jig out. The CT keeps that benefit without the usual penalties - weight and bulk were cut so the body stays compact and easy to palm despite the counter, and fall-speed display, a retrieve-distance alarm and an LED backlight are all built in. HAGANE body, MicroModule gear and InfinityDrive carry over the smooth wind, while the new Silent Drive, a redesigned handle and knob, and a higher max drag add power. PE line only.
