The Javallon Hard adds the strong water push of a hard bait and the high hook-up rate of trebles to the soft, lifelike movement that made the Javallon famous.
Covering the Javallon's weak point
As a worm, the original trades drawing power and hook-up rate for the stealth of a single hook. In open water or in current, we wanted that one-of-a-kind Javallon action to pull fish like a hard bait and to convert even the lightest kiss bite. That is what the Javallon Hard was built for.
Whole-body drive action and the Hydro-Foil Spoiler
It does not pivot on a lip. The entire body drives, producing the whole-body action unique to the Javallon - stable from a crawl to a burn, yet still darting wide off the smallest twitch the way only a lipless bait can. Holding those two together is the HYDRO-FOIL SPOILER under the jaw. Like an F-1 chin spoiler, it generates downforce without restricting side-to-side movement, keeping the bait level through the swim.
What changed
The joints were changed from loose to tight, which sharply improves stability on a very fast retrieve, and the bait was scaled up to 1.2x the length and 1.8x the volume of the original. The tails are now elastomer instead of plastic, and two types are included - the Snake Tail and the Javallon Tail - so you can switch the profile and the action to match the situation. On a fast retrieve it produces a tight shivering action.
150S is the sinking model: it falls between strokes so you can show the bait on the drop and work deeper lanes - standing timber, breaks, and fish holding down. For bass, in open water and current on lakes and rivers.
