Toads and bullfrogs live all over Japan, and monster-class bass key on them. The KING Boso Kaeru faithfully reproduces the bulk of a toad or bullfrog and the way it swims underwater.
53g self weight, recommended hook size 7/0-8/0. Recommended tackle is a heavy-power or stronger rod with PE #2-3 or 16lb+ fluorocarbon. Rig it as a jig trailer (jig weight 7g and up), weightless on the surface, or on a free rig.
The powerful frog kick appeals to bass right through the fall. The body is elastomer, but salt is loaded into the belly side only, so it still sinks with as little as 7g.
