As the name suggests, this is a rod recommended for anglers who "seek adventure in headwater fishing," walking forest paths and mountain trails, bushwhacking and high-stepping over waterfalls and weirs. It's for those who want to cast to pinpoint spots and fish their way upstream in small streams and village rivers, and who want to thoroughly enjoy the back-and-forth with each individual fish.
This is a short-length, ultra-light rod that features a butt which bends to follow the tip and belly while still leaving power in reserve. For short distances, you use the tip and belly; for long distances, you cast by bending the rod all the way to the butt. You can also perform technical casts like sidearm, backhand, and flip casts without stress. We've finished it as a rod that allows you to enjoy the back-and-forth with a fish while still being able to handle a memorial-class big one.
