Piece #3 is the central axis for casting, handling, and fighting, while Piece #2 gives the lure the intended action and creates a powerful hook-setting force. The tip, Piece #1, has stiffness for sensitivity, but is set to "give" where it needs to, leaving only the good bite-friendliness needed for the moment a fish is hooked. The intentionally lengthened grip also functions as a splint, protecting the other sections when bundled and carried. This rod is optimal for targets that require long casting, such as lunker sea bass, yellowtail, rockfish, and striped bass overseas.
