Break through the crisp exterior of a state-of-the-art rod, and what emerges is a soft, old-style rod feel that bends like muscle. With just a light cast, the rod's bend and return are maximized, making it easy to achieve long-distance casts. This is the very form of the rod that anglers have long dreamed of. While it may sound like something from a movie, the actual production process was far from smart.

Of course, without skill from both the engineers and the anglers, these two contradictory properties could simply result in a rod that increases lost fish. We carefully resolved these various problems one by one using analog methods, and the Harmonix Blank was born.

Most lure fishing is a type of "pulse fishing," where you feel for subtle sensations. Up until the moment a fish bites, you need a rod with the rigidity and sensitivity to convey that. You also need that same stiffness to cut through the water's resistance as you move the lure.

The truth is, there was no such thing as a "standard" in fishing.

The concept behind TULALA's Harmonix series is to create a rod that pioneers who have long been on the cutting edge will feel they "want to cast every day."
