The reel seat was intentionally designed with a larger diameter than the often-repurposed light jigging rods, in an effort to improve grip. The secure feel, which prevents the rod from twisting in your hand, reduces the excessive strain and stress of high-speed retrieves. This provides a level of stable winding that cannot be achieved by using rods from other genres.
Compared to light jigging rods, the butt guide is positioned closer to the tip. By perfecting the guide placement, the rod pursues optimal line release during casting. The smooth passage of the line through the guides not only increases casting distance but is also effective in preventing line troubles.
