The LUNAMIS series, long supported by anglers for its lightness and sharpness, has undergone a full model change. The blanks feature [Spiral X Core] and [High Power X], blending lightness, strength, and operability at a high level. Additionally, the [Aero Coat]—finished through a specialized process different from conventional painting—achieves further weight reduction and higher sensitivity. By concentrating Shimano's flagship technologies, the rod's weight has been reduced by up to 7%. This support through lightness enables more delicate and precise rod control than ever before.

For the spinning models, the guide system features [X Guide] optimized for each specific model. Technical models in the L–ML class use a downsized [X Guide Aero] to achieve lightness and an effortless swing, improving operability and casting performance when using light lines. Versatile models utilize the original [X Guide Aero] for a balance of smooth line release and lightness. Meanwhile, items designed for high loads feature [X Guide Touch Free Titanium], ensuring stable casting and operability even with thick PE lines while contributing to reduced line trouble.

The grip is equipped with an edge-type [Carbon Monocoque Grip]. Redesigned from the conventional round type, it upgrades both operability and aesthetic beauty. Furthermore, this series is developed as a global lineup targeting the world's shore casting scenes. Anticipating every scenario from close to long-range combat—including ports, brackish lakes, rivers, offshore embankments, surf, and rocky shores—the lineup includes spinning and baitcasting models from L to MH power, handling everything from lightweight plugs to metal jigs exceeding 50g. It enables a wide range of approaches not only for seabass but also for blue-runners from embankments and flatfish in the surf.
