As you may know from news reports, the magnitude 7.6 earthquake struck near Ishikawa Prefecture’s Noto Peninsula in the middle of the afternoon on Jan. 1 2024.
We would like to express our deepest condolences to those who lost their lives, and extend our deepest sympathies to everyone affected by the disaster.
The sea off the Noto Peninsula are famous for topwater fishing for amberjack and yellowtail.
It is also a popular area for rockfish anglers, as there are numerous points from the shore where several species of groupers are often caught.
As much as I love rockfish game, I was also planning to go on a fishing trip this summer.
We have decided to donate a part of the proceeds from this sale to the people in the affected areas who have been forced to endure the cold and live as evacuees amidst the aftershocks that are still continuing, and to help those who are working hard to support the victims of the disaster.
We would also like to consider and implement what we can do for the future recovery.
There are also many people missing, and we pray that they will be rescued as soon as possible.
