Plastic Meets Metal — a High-Speed Wide-Search Topwater

The Iron Mouth is built on the idea that fusing plastic and metal opens up something new. It is a fast, wide-searching topwater: the metal element loads the body for real distance, including straight into a headwind, and gives the bait an authority on the surface that a plastic-only pencil cannot match.

The action is a dog walk that throws a hard, aggressive splash on every turn. That combination — long casts plus a loud, visible walk — lets you cover water quickly and pull bass up from a distance, which is exactly what a search bait on the surface has to do.

Suggested tackle: 6'-6'6" M to MH rod · 10-13lb fluorocarbon, 10-16lb nylon, or PE #2-#3.
