A Flat Back Jig Retuned for Swimming
The RC Flat Back Jig takes the deps Flat Back Jig platform and reworks it around swimming presentations, tuned together with Rodeo Craft's Yukio Matsumoto. The silicone fine skirt mixes long and short strands — the long ones roughly twice the usual length — and the strand count has been raised, so the skirt keeps breathing on a steady retrieve instead of collapsing against the trailer.
The low centre of gravity flat wide head keeps the jig upright on the bottom rather than tipping onto its side, and holds its line through the hookset. A heavy wire #5/0 hook and a trailer hold wire let you flip it into thick cover, lift-and-fall it through weed, or swim it across flats without the trailer sliding or the fish pulling free. Released October 2026.
