MORETHAN TW PE SPECIAL is the flagship of DAIWA's seabass baitcasting line, pairing outright long-casting ability with the rigidity and specification needed to fight a lunker seabass. It runs a G1 duralumin Ί36 mm MAG-Z BOOST spool braked specifically for PE line, together with TWS for outstanding line release. The two working in combination give trouble-free casts that keep extending through the back half of the flight â the reassuring, exhilarating cast feel that is this reel's greatest appeal.
96 cm per Crank, and Still Smooth Under Load
Gear ratio 8.5 retrieves 96Â cm per handle turn, yet HYPERDRIVE DESIGN and a 110Â mm aluminium crank handle keep the wind smooth and powerful rather than frantic. A drag click sounds as line is pulled, so you can read the fight by ear when you are running line tension right on the edge.
PE-Dedicated Spool
A conventional spool profile leaves a step at each end that destabilises line release. This PE-dedicated spool brings the curve between the spool floor and its flanges close to vertical, greatly improving how the line beds down. Because the design is tuned specifically for PE, nylon and fluorocarbon must not be used â their stretch puts damaging load on the spool.
