In contrast to the Hermit Power Tune—a quintessential bait finesse rod with a completely redesigned taper, featuring distinct transitions, a powerful belly-to-butt section, and a meticulous focus on bottom-touch sensitivity and delicate operation—the 26 Hermit is a rod that further elevates the mid-level "mid-strolling" action for which the successive Hermit models, excelling at the Neko Rig mid-stroll, were renowned.
It follows the taper of previous Hermit models, adopting a Megatop R with a "V-shaped taper" at the tip. By using a solid tip instead of a full tubular blank, it utilizes the tip's weight to create an easy "swing" tempo, drawing out the mid-strolling action on baitcasting tackle.
By adopting "AGS" and "CWS," and through the fusion of DAIWA's carbon molding technology, SVF "Torayca® M46X," and 3DX, this is a highly sensitive bait mid-strolling rod. It allows the angler to freely control the shaking pitch—from "Hover Strolling" (shaking just the tail without body roll) to mid-strolling (inducing roll)—without causing body wobble. It enables the angler to feel the slack and tension in the line during a slack-line shake, sense the lure's operation, and grasp the lure's condition as if holding it in hand, even at depths greater than 10 meters.
