The C66L-LM is an item focused on cranking that will awaken many bass anglers. Built to a length that masters both accuracy and long casting, the entire longitudinal axis—which governs the rod's action—is constructed with "Low Modulus" carbon. This L-power blank features a distinct regular-fast taper, combining a long tip section for an extended bend with a powerful, rapidly rising butt, further enhanced by a "he-shaped taper" (stepped taper) at the tip. The extended bend of the tip section makes it easy to load the rod's weight with a simple flick of the wrist, carrying lures on a low trajectory without rising, allowing for extreme precision from any angle—including sidehand and backhand—even in spots where casting is difficult.
Additionally, the "he-shaped" tip bows slightly during thumbing just before water entry to realize a soft landing sound. By utilizing the "he-shaped taper," the rod achieves a tension-free retrieve similar to glass fiber—allowing for ample line slack—while maintaining the tactile sensitivity glass lacks for sensing line resistance against cover or the feel of the bottom. During cover contact, the "he-shaped" tip acts as a shock absorber to avoid snags, yet it gives way instantly during a strike to hook the fish without deflection, allowing the powerful butt to take control of the fight.
The combination of the long tip section and the "he-shaped" taper makes it fully compatible with flat-side crankbait methods like "Shaky" and "Krust." Staying true to the 25BLX development concept of "usability," the taper design allows anyone to produce shaky actions, letting the rod do the work to reduce arm fatigue. This is a "fish-catching" cranking rod fully adapted for finesse cranking in tough fields.
