For the first release under his own WAZAMONO brand he combined what he learned from both into the GilSoft 130, a bluegill-profile jointed swimbait.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003ePausing a bait to draw the bite in cold water is a known tactic, but the jointed build lets the GilSoft 130 dart left and right - a movement rarely available in a soft swimbait. Twitch it in sequence and it walks like a hard bait, which keeps it in play through the high-activity season as well as through winter.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe point of going soft was hook-up ratio. On a tall-bodied hard bluegill bait the body depth and the hooks stop the lure short of the throat, and you are left with tooth marks on the head.
